More parking lot space in the back. Interior is well designed. [Yeong Joon Choi]

We went to the Korean Autumn Festival today. They had a variety of booths selling traditional Korean street food, kimchee and naturally soju. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily so it made it a bit tricky trying to buy the food outside, even though there were tents, and then trying to get back inside without getting your food and yourself covered in rain, so you could find a table inside to eat. While they have a large auditorium in the building, it was sadly under-utilized. Very nice food…friendly people. It could have been so much better if they had some of the food booths inside the auditorium. Plus, the young volunteers were too busy chatting or looking at their cell phones…they could have set up twice as many tables, to make it easier to eat and to help the older people clear off their tables. They have a stage in the auditorium and while they had performances outside, it would have been nicer to have this indoors. Plus they could have played Korean traditional music indoors to create a nicer atmosphere. Their organizers should go to the Japanese Canadian Cultural centre to get some ideas on how to better organize things and to better train the volunteers.[Ron]

A great place to host events, large auditorium with all the facilities for all sorts of events, exhibitions, banquets, etc., ample free parking on site. [J A Chen]

Nice place for outdoor staking in winter. There’re branches for people to sit and change skates. If you need washroom, just visit the central library.[Leo Yuen]

Went for the Korean festival. The place is great for events. It’s accessible by TTC, has great cafes around it and can handle a lot of footfall. [Teena Sharma]

A good Christmas Fair. Better than expected. There were food options from all over the world. There were well decorated areas for clicking pics and fireplaces to warm yourself up. It is a good place to spend a few hours at. Very near to North York or the Finch Subway Stations. There are a few performers like the Santa, Fairy, the Elvis Presley impersonator, etc. [anand bhanu]

Been to this street festival before. A little bit smaller when compared with other street festivals but still good. They have  a beer tent area for alcohol. The best part was Shania Twain was there!! Hahaha!! She did a couple of songs! Great Canadian icon!  Very fun!!! I will definitely return again next summer! I also do recommend this street fair to those who like street fairs and for the chance to see Shania again!!! [Raddo Raddo]

Attending the Taste of Lawrence Festival has been an annual tradition for our family. The vibe is amazing. It’s something I look forward to because it has a little bit of everything, kids’ rides, music 🔥, games, guys who make balloon toys, handmade amazing local and exotic food & treats, local businesses, and more. Many times I learn about new businesses that I didn’t know existed.

Be prepared to walk and navigate through the thousands of people, and their dogs. Wear comfortable shoes, dress cool, (it’s usually the first week in July), and bring a shopping bag. I always go thinking I’m not going to spend, and inevitably end up buying lots of different things! I love supporting local small businesses. They often don’t make much after they pay for their booths, so I love to support.

Also, just walk with some cash, as you know everything will cost a little more than normal. It’s all good. I think we need these festivals for community spirit.

If you haven’t been, because it’s too far or you’d rather go to the other festivals on that weekend (usually Afrofest is that weekend, too), make it a point to go next year. The music, the vibe is really sweet. I used to go at night, which was nice, but since becoming a mother, I have to do daytime fun… All the same it’s still hot! 🔥

This year we did the little train, Lil Yassy had a great time, her first trip on a train! What more could you ask for. You have to pre-purchase tickets for the train, which took forever, but well worth it.🏆

Overall, I love this festival! Looking forward to Summer 2024!! 🌞🎠🎢[Steffy T]

Taste of Lawrence food festival is a great place to hang out with friends and family. A lot of variety of street food vendors. This is my 2nd year visiting this food festival. This year I tasted Jerk Chicken, Thirst Trap and Wild Potato shops. The Jerk chicken @ coal pot catering taste so good, but the size of combo is too small for the price (less rice and coleslaw). Tried watermelon refresher and passion fruit ice tea, both taste good and helped me to refresh from the sun, costs $13 per drink, thought bit expensive, but no other chance. Wild potatoes taste good. There are entertaining activities and games for kids too. The music and other performances were so good and got us in to some refreshing vibes. Overall a good day to spend during summer with family and friends.[Jensen Dinesh]

LOVE their lunch boxes because of the variety of side dishes! It’s always so good and it’s a ton of food. Always satisfies my Korean cravings. I wish I could try all their dishes but I always end up the same beef lunch everytime 😅 [Sue]

We love Korean Food and Korean Festival have tried many places and this cozy restaurant is our absolute go-to. Please note the flavour here is very strong and intense so if you’re into it, it’s impossible for you to resist the temptation.

Our usual orders include the Rice Bowl Special Short Rib and the Rice Cake. The Rice Cake is a perfect balance of softness and chewiness, enhanced by the spicy sauce and fish cakes. Similarly, the Rice Bowl Special steals the show with its combination of bean rice, authentic Korean short rib, daily-changing homemade side dishes, and the owner’s sauces, creating a harmonious and flavourful experience.

This restaurant is run by only one lady, who manages everything from taking orders to cooking and cleaning, please be understanding and patient. With unbeatable prices, top-quality meals, and the owner’s dedication to great service, this place is truly a hidden treasure.

Best tip we can give you is call ahead at least 20 minutes before arriving for a timely, delightful meal. Highly recommended 🙂 [Van Nguyen]

First, don’t come right at opening or you may not get what you want. The owner is likely still prepping. Second, her tone may come off rude, but she is very friendly and charming once you get her talking.

This is basically Korean style home cooking. I mean that in the best way. The portions are generous and you get good value. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The banchan is top notch.[Arthur Tsoi]
