Probably the worst library of city. Worst environment, people talking loudly even in silent reading area.

Children just come to play video games, elders are just coming for chit chat.

Not good for quite study. [Rahim Virani]

Wonderful nook for small kids, very helpful staff and a cozy atmosphere ! [Victoria B]

I don’t know why I choose this library for study…This was my first time to come here, it only has two small rooms for quiet studying. The funniest thing was the quiet room just beside the kids playing area. Whole day I can heard people taking beside me, even I used the ear plug but it didn’t work. One guy answered phone for 10 minutes ….This was the worst library I’ve never been before…maybe it’s a good library for kids but it’s not a good place for people who want to quiet study here. [Vivienne]

A good library with helpful staff

Client Reviews

Dedicated staff, wide range of materials even inside the branch.

We live in different times now, but I have to share my family’s experience with it.

This branch is close to our area and thanks to the welcoming staff and how the library rules are, we were blessed to feel at home by having access to the local library even before really settling in.

We were also fortunate to have come in the area in a time when the library staff made possible different sorts of events and activities for children. Thanks to them:

– my children found out about Snap Circuits game and fell in love with it (we had to buy one to play at home, which was the best decision ever)

– my children and I had fun being creative and using different materials

– we learnt about Aga Khan Museum and that’s how we became excited to visit it (which we did, also thanks to The Toronto Library program and collaboration where we got free tickets…)

– we learnt about other museum and opportunities we could see or visit in Toronto AND in ways to be affordable for us

– we discovered books, authors and documentaries we never knew about but we could go through at the branch

– we could buy extremely cheap books we always dreamed of having in Romania (thank you for making our dreams come true)

and NOW pr NO MATTER WHAT we can, using the online services, just pick anything we want – online or offline – and study it at home.

By the way, we were surprised that at a local library the readers can CELEBRATE with the library on its Anniversary (with cake and all)!

Also, when you are welcomed by diverse staff who can be themselves, you feel safe. So you also made us feel safe. THANK YOU!

Thank you to all who make it happen and made it all happen for us! Congratulations for being great humans and offering great service! [Andrea Petrut]

Small, cute little library. Staff was very helpful. Still helped us check out book even though we’d forgotten our card at home. [Farrah Bacchus]

Plenty of seating and tables arranged in one area by the windows facing Finch. Outlets on walls and floor near tables.

A more efficient space arrangement with more bookshelves and separate seating areas may alleviate noise complaints while expanding the collection. [Anon Tablet]

The paper bag princess display is amazing. Nice place, though it is a bit loud with people talking without whispering. [Bosco Tung]

Apart from the library being pretty old looking, honestly it’s a pretty good library. They have a good selection and staff are always helpful. Will always be coming back 🙂 [MaxKing100]

Too noisy and way too many kids. I agree that hanging out at the library is better than other places, however between the hours of school I dont understand why any kids are even there? Going downstairs in the ” quiet study area” doesnt help either. The information desk is loud attending to clients, and the space used by another company is also very loud. They are always shouting out to each other. It you want a quiet space go somewhere else, or by ear plugs. Libraries are suppose to be quiet…this notion must be implemented. [Strength is the new beautiful ]

Based on my experience every time I go the staff are very kind and helpful. They get a 5 star. [vannthary oeur ]
