Late supper after raptors game, restaurant was pack at 11pm. Great operation hours as it’s open 24/7, had to wait around 15min. Ordered pork knuckle, kimchi fried pork intestines and seafood tofu soup. First for some reason they had removed table side bbq and just throw you the dish with iron plate that turn us down a lot. And the pork intestines come out tasting burn and bitter. Pork knuckle and tofu soup was alright, overall I can say this resto is a 24/7 Korean fast food place with low standard food. Can go if you were craving at midnight [Billy So]

Amazing food, great quality at a good price with great service. Would definitely come back.[Yuval Olsha (Dvlce)]

Great place. Right across a school and I go here all the time with friends for lunch. Amazing food and nice staff, they offer free small dishes and rice! Definitely coming back. Highly recommending Korean restaurant[Steven Bai]

Service was good. Food was not to our liking. I came with my family. Soup ordered was bland, rice was a bit too spicy, but I guess to each their own.

Side dishes were good and staff were friendly.[Diep]

Chicken hot pot ($31.99),  good for 2 ppl,  come with 2 rices,  6 small dishes.  marinated chicken, zucchini,  potato,  carrots, onion.  bit of spicy. [J L]

I grab lunch from this place every other day, during the lockdown as well. Since 2 months ago this old lady (perhaps owner) started working as the cashier. She ignored the lunch menu and charge me as full price dinner every time . I had to remind her about lunch special and print me a new bill. One time is fine, but pretends that you forgot EVERY TIME? No way. I understand all business is suffering from Covid, but getting money like this is totally unacceptable. I will no longer support this restaurant [Peg12138]

The best service and toast sandwichs. My number one pick would be the bacon and cheese followed by the ham and cheese. Their signature iced latte was amazing! I highly recommend this location, the staff was so friendly, the nicest humans. I can’t wait to go back.[Eva Vuong]

My friend and I had an amazing experience at JJIN Toast! Vibe, customer services, and food were 10/10!

Best place to hang out in North York, great location, service, and good food. I’ve been going there for years. Love it. 100% recommended. [Dena Miraf]

I met up to try this restaurant as we were craving fried chicken on a cold winter night. The staff were really friendly and welcoming when I arrived.  They quickly showed me to my table and gave me water while I waited for my friends to arrive.

When my friends arrived, the wait staff came by and explained what were the most popular.  We started with our drinks where most of us ordered cocktails. Some had a Coronarita sticking out from the huge glass which made very good pics to post. They gave us some apps like coleslaw and radish.

We ordered the volcano chicken which was quite interesting with a variety of cheese and rose sauce. We added some potato wedges to the chicken. Despite my preference to dark meat, the chicken breast was tender. We also ordered kimchi fried rice and cheese soft egg roll.  I only had a little bite of the rice cuz I’m allergic to spicy food but my friends enjoyed it. I was looking forward to the egg roll and they did a really good job.

I would return for dinner or some late night snacks over some drinks.  Location is pretty good as it is close to Finch station. You can also find parking closeby either on the side streets or lots.

I just had pork bone soup at galleria and owl and this place ranks #1.

A+ for food, service, interior /atmosphere.

Just wish parking was better [Min Woo Park]

Great pork bone soup,  had the hot pot for two pork bone soup.   Its a large portion and easily enough for two hungry hungry individuals.   There were potatoes,  bean noodles,  rice cakes and tons of  pork bone.   Enoki mushrooms and some cabbage I believe.  The soup has an incredibly flavouful meatiness to it with hints of spice.   They also give you 4 small dishes of kimchi,  radish,  corn and sprouts. An amazing place to warm the soul on a cold winter night![Vin Zilla]

Really good pork bone soup (gamjatang) at Mapo Gamjatang for lunch early in December 2018.

I ordered the large size for a dollar more than the regular. You get lots of pork bones but no potato and not much glass noodles. It’s spicier than most other places, but not overwhelming. The ground perilla seeds are a nice touch. Comes with a little bowl of rice and soy sauce to dip the meat.

Side dishes were good and the kimchi was again spicier than other places but suited the soup. The radish was much milder and the corn and peas with mayo tamed the heat.

Korean style spoon and chopsticks, Korean music, minimalistic wood and concrete decor but bright lighting, good Korean staff, fair pricing and it’s a little slice of Korea for you to enjoy.

One suggestion: Spaghetti, whole crab, gamjatang… these dishes may best be suited to the table once you are comfortable with your dining companions (and perhaps not first dates unless some sly testing is going on). [Jim Kang]

8. Han Ba Tang

In 2014, a one-of-a-kind gem called Han Ba Tang emerged on the scene, crafting an unforgettable experience as both a Korean Restaurant and Bar. Picture this: a vintage industrial decor sets the stage for an authentic Korean flavor extravaganza served in tapas style and hearty sharing portions – perfect for your evening dinner or night out.

The beverage lineup is impressive, boasting a variety of beer on tap, creative cocktails, Soju, and adorable mini bottles. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, their slow-braised Korean delicacy, Jokbal (Pork Hock), stole the spotlight, earning rave reviews and a stellar reputation. Ideal for sharing with family and a bunch of friends, Han Ba Tang has truly carved its niche in the culinary world.”

This place would be a solid 4.5+ if located anywhere else in the city. However at Yonge/Finch I don’t know if it’s too much competition or some people trying to bring them down for some purpose. They are one of those restaurants who are serious of what they are doing. They have great menu, huge variety of choices, half of which you cannot find in other Korean restaurants. All their dishes are well made with fresh ingredients, and when your chef put effort in your food you can feel it. Service is adequate, plus good quantity and variety of appetizer side dishes. Such great food. My mum, a woman in her 70’s, has a recently acquired love for Korean food. Having not tried Kayagum before, I was hoping for the best for a delivery dinner together.

We got the galbi ribs, beef japchae, and spicy soft tofu and beef soup. We got rice with ribs and soup, kimchi and bean sprouts as well.

The taste was amazing. I couldn’t stop eating. The food was hot when it got to our home.

Can’t wait to try in person dining when we’re more comfortable going out. Thank you![Melanie Dwyer]
