Avoid at all costs you have been warned, let me start by saying that I am only leaving one star because It is not possible to leave a lower rating. With that being said I would also like to state that this review does not reflect my thoughts on a the staff members as they were great.
However this is experience was horrific from the beginning to the end of the transaction. I rented a 2023 Toyota highlander which smelled like a out house, when I took the car I immediately called Kaizen back to exchange the vehicle as I was slated to go on a mini road trip, they said to me that they were aware of the smell and they did not have another vehicle for me to take in exchange but that they put air fresheners in the vehicle to help combat the horrid stench; mind you I have made a reservation months in advance in preparation.
Upon the conclusion of the rental the team said they noticed damage on the front bumper that wasn’t there prior, they went to look at the pictures which they take before the vehicle is handed over and magically the pictures which had been taken of the vehicle on their phone had some how vanished. The manager then began to become upset, loud and defensive (very unprofessional) when I explained to him that I was not happy with the false accusations of damage. He proceeded to walk away while I was calmly attempting to resolve matters and stated I either pay “$400 or he will make an insurance claim to paint the bumper and it will cost $3500”
When reading this review if you scroll down and read the other negative experiences you will see that this case is not a anomaly. Had to pay for gas out of pocket. Their video says they will refund you but their website has absolutely no information about refunds. I have never once had a bad experience with a rental company or any company in general but, this rental place is the upmost unprofessional place ever. This place is a scam, they do not refund deposits they just keep them to themselves. I will be reporting this place as of right now and make sure the business gets shut down. There were several pills (medication) in the vehicle, i will be reporting that as well. The lady at the front is extremely unprofessional and has no respect. She loves to hang up in your face and does not know how to speak to you in a professional way. The cars are broken down, the vehicles cannot operate properly, they scam you and take your money, they create fake invoices and run an illegal business. I have consulted with my co-worker which is a lawyer and we have decided to get public litigation involved in this case because my colleague still has not received her deposit yet. Customer service is a common topic in every industry, which is important. The customer service here is horrible, they do not know how to treat their customers with respect, instead the woman at the front screams at you on the phone and hangs up in your face.
